Private Duty Homecare Association –
The Private Duty Homecare Association (PDHCA) was established by the National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC). It is a trade association of home care providers dedicated to helping the ill and disabled remain in their own homes. PDHCA services will focus on providing valuable information to its members, including help in understanding federal guidelines, certification and accreditation.
Florida Board of Nursing –
The Florida Board of Nursing licenses, monitors, disciplines, educates and, when appropriate, rehabilitates its licensees to assure their fitness and competence in providing health care services for the people of Florida.
National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners –
The Council was formed to promote standards of excellence in dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease education to professionals and other caregivers who provide services to dementia clients. As the number of dementia cases continues to increase nationally and worldwide, there is a great necessity to insure that care givers are well trained to provide appropriate, competent, and sensitive direct care and support for the dementia patient.
National Certification Board for Alzheimer Care –
The National Certification Board for Alzheimer Care (NCBAC) is an allied healthcare board certification organization, which confers two national credentials and maintains a Registry for Certified Alzheimer Caregiver (CAC); and Certified Alzheimer Educator (CAEd).
Commission for Case Manager Certification –
The Commission for Case Manager Certification® is the first and largest nationally accredited organization that certifies case managers. The Commission is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that oversees the process of case manager certification. The CCM® is the first nationally accredited case manager credential.
Florida State Guardianship Association –
Established in 1986, The Florida State Guardianship Association (FSGA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization. FSGA is the premier statewide organization promoting and supporting excellence in the practice of guardianship and is the voice advocating for the incapacitated and their guardians.
National Association for Home Care & Hospice –
The National Association for Home Care & Hospice (NAHC) is a nonprofit organization that represents the nation’s home care and hospice organizations. NAHC also advocates for the nurses, therapists, aides and other caregivers employed by such organizations to provide in-home services to the infirm, chronically ill, and disabled. NAHC provides information to help its members maintain the highest quality of care.
National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers –
NAPGCM is a non-profit professional development organization whose mission is to advance professional geriatric care management through education, collaboration, and leadership. A professional Geriatric Care Manager (GCM) is a health and human services specialist who helps families who are caring for older relatives. The GCM is trained and experienced in care management, including nursing, gerontology, social work, or psychology.
Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association –
The Florida Geriatric Care Managers Association, Inc. (FGCMA) is a not-for-profit whose goal is to advance the dignified care for Florida seniors & the elderly. FGCMA is dedicated to promoting the professional field of geriatric care management by training, assisting, regulating, educating, and supporting qualified care managers who provide a full range of services to aging individuals, their families, and caregivers.

The Palm Beach County Partnership for Aging is a not-for-profit local organization which focuses its energies on enhancing the life of older persons, their families and their communities through advocacy, information sharing and education. Members include health care professionals from both the private and public sector, geriatric care managers, elder law attorneys.
Palm Beach County Medical Society –
PBCMS is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to uniting
physicians to serve the common interest of the profession, developing and maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards of the medical profession, advocating the interests of physicians and their patients, and collaborating with others to improve the community’s health. The website has a great “physician search” portal, info on hospitals, and community medical resources.
Broward County Medical Association –
The BCMA maintains a referral service for residents of the county, and is involved in a number of community organizations. The BCMA, through its committees and volunteer organizations, serves the profession and the citizens of Broward County. The physicians who are “members” of the BCMA have undergone a quality credentials verification process in compliance with national standards. The BCMA staff can refer BCMA members in all specialties and geographic areas. BCMA has a “Speakers Bureau” of experts who will visit your cub or organization to address your concerns and interests.
Broward County Bar Association –
The Broward County Bar Association, a not-for-profit organization, was founded in 1925 to foster courtesy, ethics, and professionalism among Broward County lawyers, to educate the citizens of Broward County on their legal rights, and to provide necessary legal services to Broward County’s residents. Staff can refer BCBA members in all specialties and geographic areas.
